Michael lives in Kerteminde and grew up close to the water, a perfect fit for a port where the sea, logistics, and development are part of everyday life. Throughout his career, he has worked with shipping, logistics, and offshore operations both in Denmark and internationally. Now, he is charting a new course back home to become an active part Odense Port’s continued development and to strengthen the opportunities we create together with customers and partners.
Michael will head Odense Port’s commercial division, which includes Sales & Leasing, Business Development, and Marketing.

Most recently, Michael comes from DEME Group, where he served as Business Unit Manager and Deputy Managing Director, responsible for business development and international partnerships in the offshore sector. With more than 20 years of experience in sales, negotiation, and commercial leadership, he will be a key driving force in developing solutions that strengthen our customers and support our strategic direction and growth.

When welcoming a new colleague, it often means saying goodbye to another. That is not the case here. Ole Haugsted Jørgensen continues as an important part of the team in his role as Senior Commercial Manager, where he will use his extensive port industry experience to ensure that our customers make the most of their opportunities at the port.
