Become a part of the success at Odense Port
Over 100 different companies make up the green industry and wind cluster at Odense Port, most of which are subcontractors to the wind industry's largest manufacturers on site, Vestas and CS Wind Offshore.
If your company is connected to the offshore wind industry and/or the maritime industry, you have great opportunities to get close to your partners and customers at Odense Port.
We have space for you and many more who wish to reap the benefits of becoming part of the wind cluster.
Et mekka for vind-virksomheder
The wind cluster constitutes a unique ecosystem where companies are very good at utilizing the expertise found within the cluster – they use and help each other. This synergy is something you can also become a part of, thereby boosting your growth and development opportunities.
At the same time, the increasing demand for components for offshore wind turbines has naturally led to increased activity among manufacturers and their subcontractors at the Port.
An example of this is the company LOMAC (Lindø Offshore Maritime Construction), which supplies steel components to Danish shipyards and the wind industry, and has now been busy building an additional production hall of 1,600 square meters to keep up with demand from, among others, neighbors Fayard, SH Group, and CS Wind Offshore.
Another company also seeing significant growth and development opportunities at the Port is The Engineering House Frecon.
In 2023, they moved their Funen branch to Odense Port shortly after patenting a floating foundation with pontoons made of recycled fiberglass for the wind industry.
Frecon's new location at the Port fits perfectly into the growing cluster of industrial companies working within the wind industry.
"We see great potential in the development currently happening at Odense Port. There are many exciting initiatives – particularly the upcoming robotics center, but also the expansion of the port itself, which provides space for even more interesting potential partners and customers. We look forward to getting closer to and being inspired by these developments in our daily work."
This is how Ida Rasmussen, CEO of the engineering company Frecon, describes it.

Case: Test Lift for Flindt Kristensen Engineering
Framing the Future
Challenge
Flindt Kristensen Engineering, a tenant at Odense Port, has developed a highly specialized lifting frame for a nacelle manufacturer. The engineering company needs to ensure that the frame can handle the necessary load when the 550-ton nacelle is transported onto a ship.
Solution
As facilitators of test lifts, we specialize in testing lifting equipment with the exact load it needs to withstand. To test Flindt Kristensen's lifting frame, we place 600 tons of ballast blocks on the frame and construct the rigging based on precise calculations to load the frame at exactly the points where it will be stressed during a lift with the nacelle mounted.
Result
The execution of the specially designed test lift allows Flindt Kristensen to obtain the necessary approvals and certifications* for the frame through a third party, enabling the company to document to the customer that the product meets the specified requirements.
The test lift also reflects the good synergy that exists between the many wind-related companies at the Port and Flindt Kristensen's numerous tasks within offshore wind.
"We had Odense Port conduct a complex test lift of a lifting frame. It was done very professionally – from the initial engineering work to the handling on-site."
